Pedestal Professionals is a weekly spotlight series on our blog that highlights Black women entrepreneurs who are forging new paths in their respective fields.
Meet this week’s Pedestal Professional, Jacqueline B. Moragne, Founder and Creative Director of JBM & Associates PR Agency. Hailing from Little Rock, AR, Jacqueline sits at the helm of a team of public relations professionals who go all out and ensure that each of their clients gets the full JBM Experience! We had a chance to sit down with Jacqueline to learn more about her journey below!
Tell us a bit about yourself and the JBM & Associates PR Agency.
JBM & Associates PR Agency is a full service public relations agency including, but not limited to, all things PR, social media, campaigns, branding, image consulting, events, crisis services, and so much more. I have a team of talented and dynamic “go-getters” ready to get the job done.
How did you get started?
I have been doing public relations work since 2013 — but made it official once I graduated college in 2016. There weren’t any jobs open for me , so I created my own lane. Thus the idea of JBM & Associates PR Agency was born.
Tell us about your educational journey.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Communication from the University of Central Arkansas.
What’s the most rewarding part of entrepreneurship?
The process has been so rewarding — setting goals, making plans and seeing some of your hard work pay off. Through the process you learn so much about yourself and business in general. The process can’t be skipped — so might as well enjoy the ride and take the good and bad all the same.
In your opinion, what is unique about being a professional Black Woman?
The power that we have is CRAZY !! Power that you don’t even know or think is there until you walk into a room and own it. I guess it’s just that #blackgirlmagic dripping over into the professional world.
Whatās your business mantra?
I LIVE by “No One Cares ; Work Harder”
Whatās one piece of advice you would give to aspiring Black women entrepreneurs?
TRUST THE PROCESS — Do not give up! Keep going, I know it’s frustrating, discouraging, you’re probably broke, and all that. But KEEP GOING, trust your gift and the plans you have laid out ; things will turn around. Celebrate those small AND big victories ; they all count! The process has a way of exposing those who really want it. YOU GOT THIS!

Is there anything else you would like the Pedestal Project readers to know?
My bottom line is to help my people that bigger PR firms/agency will simply not give a chance. I’m here to take you to the next level and ensure you leave with the JBM Experience. Thank you for this opportunity!
